The German Historical Institute in Rome is set to take over the library of the Hamburg Institute for Social Research
The library of the Hamburg Institute for Social Research (HIS) will be taken over by the German Historical Institute (DHI) in Rome at the same time as this research institution closes in June 2028. This is the outcome of discussions held over recent months between the management teams of the respective institutes and libraries.
Preparations are currently underway to integrate the HIS collections into the DHI library, allowing on-site access to the books and media items relatively soon after the closure of the Hamburg Institute.
